The Short Shift

Remember the days of getting a part time shift after school at the local fast food outlet? Well there are concerns that a desire to push the minimum shift to 3 hours for employees covered by the Retail Award may start to restrict the flexibility of employers. This new clause will have an enormous impact on the young casual employee as well as mothers wishing to work part time.
