This is a great article from the Wall Street Journal highlighting the power of direct mail campaigns.  The article explains how a small business in the US decided to drop its direct mail campaign in favour of an email campaign to save costs.  The business immediately experienced a 25% drop in sales.  It's nice to see examples of how customised print cuts through to consumers more effectively that many electronic mediums.
