Fuji Xerox Epicentre Trip

Paul Haines, Ryan Paternott and I heading up to Xerox's impressive Epicentre last week. The centre is located in Sydney and showcases all of Xerox's equipment and software. We were there for a very special trip, which involved checking out our new iGen4 press. The press itself is quite interesting. Rather than focusing on speeding up the press, Xerox has almost exclusively focused its engineering efforts on improving quality and colour consistency. Being printers, we were a little shocked by this. One of the hallmarks of each new generation of digital presses has been rapid speed increases and we were skeptical of Xerox's claim that they had greatly improved the quality (the iGen3 is already fantastic). After seeing the results however, they've sold me. The quality is amazing and more importantly, the colour consistency is near perfect. Our clients are demanding on this point, especially with corporate colours and I can't wait to start using the iGen4 on our high-end commercial work.
I'll be blogging a lot on the new press, it's got more features than I can keep in my head, so stay tuned.
